CLASSES FOR EVERYONE

At CrossFit Canarias we offer CrossFit and Functional Training as our main training, and you can complement them with other classes that will help you to improve your strength, your technique, your cardio, or specific areas of your body, according to your personal needs.

CROSSFIT

Our star workout. High Intensity Exercises that will improve your strength, cardio, speed, endurance, flexibility, agility, technique, physique and quality of life.

Every day we have Wods (Workout of the Day) that vary from day to day, so you will always develop new skills using a varied workout, far from the routine that occurs in other gym sports. Every session is a new challenge.

Unlike other sports, with CrossFit you will get results and achieve your goals in a short time, which will result in an improvement of your physique, your body perception and your self-esteem.

Our certified trainers will adapt the exercises to your abilities, so you can do CrossFit whatever your age, physical condition and fitness level, CrossFit is for everyone!

functional training

At CrossFit Canarias we also offer Functional Training classes, a modality that focuses on increasing your ability to perform daily activities with greater ease and efficiency, improving body mobility, balance, agility, correcting posture, developing cardiovascular health, strengthening muscle mass and helping us to lose weight.

Functional Training is based on exercises that improve our organism as a whole, which will allow you to feel more energetic and vital, working both parts of the body that we want to improve and muscles and joints that we use in our daily lives and that are not usually trained through classic training.

If you want to do sport taking special care of any part of your body, or you simply prefer to exercise at a lower intensity but with multiple benefits, Functional Training is for you.

Weightlifting

Weightlifting is an Olympic sport that focuses on powerlifting and power pushing, whose main pillar is not only to develop strength and explosive power, but also technique and coordination.
The main body benefits of this booming sport are to increase strength, muscle mass (which also helps you lose weight by speeding up your metabolism), bone density, improve cholesterol levels and blood pressure.

It is the perfect complement to CrossFit and Functional Training, as improving our lifting technique, mastering the essential movements safely and effectively and increasing the weight we can lift at the start will improve our daily Wods, overcome our personal challenges and dissipate the risk of injury.

GAL

GAL classes are designed to strengthen and tone your Glutes, Abs and Legs with sessions focusing on specific exercises for these areas, helping you to achieve greater muscle definition and improve your endurance.

GAL classes at our gym are ideal for improving core stability, developing leg strength, strengthening the pelvic floor, improving posture, developing flexibility and achieving toned glutes.

If you want to improve these specific areas of your body, GAP is your ideal complement to CrossFit and Functional Training.

Endurance

Endurance sessions are designed to boost your endurance and improve your cardiovascular capacity. These sessions are specially designed for those looking to increase their aerobic endurance and improve their overall performance through explosive, power, speed and endurance exercises.

In Endurance Wods, exercises such as jumping rope, rowing, assault bike or continuous running are more prominent than in a CrossFit class.

As in CrossFit classes, the exercises are adapted to your fitness level, so you can practise Endurance whatever your fitness level.

Open Box

At Open Box you have the freedom and flexibility to train according to your own schedule and pace.
If you prefer to train on your own rather than participate in classes at the gym, you can do so perfectly well, which is what we call Open Box.

You will have at your disposal all the equipment in our facilities, including dumbbells, barbells, benches, boxes and specialised machines.

If you want to do free exercises to improve a part of your body, or just feel like an old school Chest and Biceps session, you are free to do it.

Debunking CrossFit Myths

  • CrossFit is only for people who are very strong or very fit.

Nothing could be further from the truth. It is true that CrossFit came to Spain with the reputation of being a sport born through the training that the Army and the Security Forces in the United States did. Both CrossFit as a sport and the gyms that teach it have evolved towards the adaptation of the WODs, so that anyone, whatever their physical shape, age or condition can perform the daily exercises. Our experienced team of coaches will tailor the daily workouts to your fitness level and needs, ensuring you enjoy the sport and get positive results.

  • CrossFit is an injury sport.

CrossFit is not a sport that is known for having more injuries than other sports. As long as you perform your daily exercises in a sensible way, according to your fitness, strength, endurance, flexibility and technique, the risk of injury is minimal. If you do CrossFit in the wrong way and beyond your body’s capabilities, you can get injured, but this happens in all sports. If you are a beginner, don’t worry about it, in a few days you will know how far you can go in each exercise and it will motivate you to see how fast you improve.

Crossfit Lanzarote SL is a company that has been awarded a grant from the Regional Ministry of Economy, Industry, Trade and the Self-Employed under PILA 237G0185 financed 100% by the ERDF within the Operational Programme 2014-2020 REACT-EU funded as part of the Union’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and destined for SME investment projects in the Canary Islands.

Thanks to this grant, a new project has been created with a training space and an improved facility, generating new employment and bringing physical activity and health improvement closer to the population.
